मानव तस्करों ने देह व्यापार को व्यापक बनाने के लिए प्यार और धोखे जैसा खेल खेलना शुरु कर दिया है. आपको याद होगा सोफी नाम की महिला जिसके साथ उसके प्रेमी ने प्यार का खेल खेला फिर उसे बाजार में बेच आया.

मानव तस्करी की शिकार बनी सोफी का कहना था कि किस तरह वो अपने कथित प्रेमी के चंगुल में फंस  गई और फिर उससे जबरन वेश्यावृत्ति के धंधे में ढकेल दिया गया. सोफी ने यह भी बताया कि उसका प्रेमी जब शुरुआती समय में उससे मिला था तो उसने अपनी पहचान गलत बताई थी. अधिकांश मानव तस्कर युवतियों को अपने प्रेम जाल में फंसाने के लिए अपनी गलत पहचान ही बताते है और यदि युवती उनके प्रेम जाल में फंस जाए तो वो उसे वेश्या बनने पर मजबूर कर देते है. बहुत बार ऐसा देखा गया है कि यदि युवती अपने शरीर की कीमत लगाने से मना कर देती है तो मानव तस्कर युवती का अश्लील एमएमएस बनाकर बाजार में बेचने की घमकियां देते है.

महिलाओं की तस्करी का बाजार

यह कहानी हैं बांग्लादेश से भारत लाई गई महिलाओं की जिन्हें महिलाओं की तस्करी करने वालों ने जबरन देह व्यापार के धंधे में ढकेला था. पीड़ित महिला ने बताया कि किस तरह मानव तस्करों ने महिलाओं को एक मजदूर जैसा जीवन जीने के लिए विवश कर दिया था, ऐसा मजदूर जो दिन-रात मेहनत करने के बाद भी अपनी मजदूरी नहीं मांग सकता था.

महिलाओं को उपभोग की वस्तु समझा जाता है जिसका कोई भी पुरुष उपभोग कर सकता है शर्त यह है कि उस पुरुष के पास उस महिला के साथ रात गुजारने की कीमत होनी चाहिए.

BHUBANESWAR: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch (CB) on Sunday arrested a city-based real estate developer for allegedly duping people of Rs 10 crore, promising plots and houses. A special team of the EOW arrested managing director of Siridi Sai estates private limited Prakash Chandra Panda. The EOW had registered an FIR against him in April last year after Orissa high court (HC) directed it to do so, acting on a writ petition filed by aggrieved persons in 2012.

आज महिलाएं विवाहित संबंध को स्वीकार किए बगैर ही प्रेमी के प्रति यौनाकर्षण रखने लगती हैं. अब जब विवाह से पहले ही वह अपना कौमार्य खो देती हैं तो फिर उन्हें कुमारी कहने का क्या औचित्य बचता है. लेकिन फिर भी हम उन्हें केवल उनकी अविवाहित परिस्थिति का ध्यान रखते हुए कुमारी कहकर संबोधित करते हैं और जैसे ही उनका विवाह हो जाता है वे श्रीमती की पदवी ग्रहण कर लेती हैं. वो भी बस इस आधार पर क्योंकि विवाह के पश्चात पति-पत्नी एक दूसरे के प्रति शारीरिक और मानसिक तौर पर समर्पित हो जाते हैं. इसीलिए विवाहित होने के कारण संबंधित महिला को कुमारी कहने का कोई औचित्य नहीं रह जाता.

लेकिन अब जब विवाह से पहले ही महिलाएं अपना कौमार्य खोती जा रही हैं तो ऐसे में इस शब्द का क्या वजूद बचता है. इस लेख का अर्थ या आशय इस बात से कदापि नहीं है कि विवाह से पहले शारीरिक संबंधों में लिप्त रहना कितना सही है या फिर पूरी तरह वर्जित होना चाहिए. यहां मसला बस इस बात का है कि आज के समय के मद्देनजर जब विवाह और कौमार्य का आपस में कोई संबंध ही नहीं शेष रह गया है तो फिर क्यों हम केवल इसी आधार पर महिलाओं को ‘’कुमारी’’ की उपाधि देते हैं. आज जब महिलाओं का अविवाहित होना इस बात के लिए आश्वासित नहीं करता कि वे कौमार्य के कसौटी पर खरी उतरती हैं, तो फिर उनका कुमारी कहलाना कहां तक उचित कहा जा सकता है? भले ही यह सवाल व्यक्तिगत दृष्टि से ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण ना हो लेकिन इस बात में कोई संदेह नहीं है कि इस सवाल का सामाजिक पहलू बेहद गंभीर और महत्वपूर्ण है इसीलिए इसका जवाब ढूंढ़ना बहुत जरूरी है.

The government’s first national study on child abuse in 2007 showed that 53.22 per cent of the children surveyed across India reported one or more forms of sexual abuse. The study also confirmed our worst fear - a pervert relative abusing the child. 50 per cent of the abusers were known to the child or are in a position of trust and responsibility and most children had not reported the matter to anyone, the study found. Prabhu agrees that often a relative gets away with sexual abuse as the child is hesitant to talk about it.

“Lack of communication is the biggest drawback. The most crucial thing is to win a child’s trust. So parents must take the effort to communicate in such a reassuring manner that the child feels comfortable to talk about everything; including their boyfriend/girlfriend,” Prabhu says. If a child tells her parents about her friend who has a boyfriend and the parents ask her to stop hanging out with her, then that would be breaking the communication, she adds. “It gives the child a reason to work around things without keeping the parents in the loop. Parents must realise that friends, other than the family, are a very integral part of an individual’s life.”

SC commutes Bhullar`s death sentence to life imprisonment.

New Delhi: In a big relief to Devinderpal Singh Bhullar, the Supreme Court on Monday commuted the death sentence of the 1993 terror convict to life imprisonment on the grounds of inordinate delay in deciding his mercy petition and that he suffered from Schizophrenia. The apex court bench of Chief Justice P Sathasivam, Justice RM Lodha, Justice HL Dattu and Justice SJ Mukhopadhaya, while commuting the death sentence to life imprisonment, referred to the apex court's January 21, 2014 verdict, which said that inordinate, unexplained or unreasonable delay in deciding mercy petition was dehumanizing to death row convict and was a ground for commuting death sentence to life imprisonment. Bhullar was convicted and awarded death penalty for triggering a bomb blast in New Delhi in September 1993, which killed nine persons and injured 25 others, including then Youth Congress president MS Bitta.

Microsoft says it won’t see your emails anymore, but will let law enforcement scan it

Microsoft, under fire for accessing an employee’s private Hotmail account to prove he was leaking computer code to a blogger, has said it will now refer all suspicions of illegal activity on its email services to law enforcement. The decision, announced by head lawyer Brad Smith on Friday, reverses Microsoft’s initial reaction to complaints last week, when it laid out a plan to refer such cases to an unidentified former federal judge, and proceed to open a suspect email account only if that person saw evidence to justify it. “Effective immediately, if we receive information indicating that someone is using our services to traffic in stolen intellectual or physical property from Microsoft, we will not inspect a customer’s private content ourselves,” said Smith, in a blog post on the software company’s website. “Instead, we will refer the matter to law enforcement if further action is required.” 

Delhi police arrest MBA holder with heroin worth Rs25 crore

The Delhi Police on Thursday arrested a 32-year-old Andhra Pradesh resident with heroin worth Rs25 crore in the international market from Nizamuddin railway station. The accused, Anumulagundam Soma Shekhar, has an MBA and runs his own crusher business in Chitoordistrict of Andhra Pradesh.According to the police,Shekhar fell to the lure of quick and easy money as his crusher business was running at a loss and mounting debts had put him in a financial crisis. Shekhar studied for his MBA at the Indian Institute of Business Management (IIBM), and passed outin 2007. The police believe that Shekhar is just a pawn in an international ring of drug traffickers that bring narcotics into India from Afghanistan via Pakistan, Jammu& Kashimir and Punjab.

Microsoft Office iPad app makes Apple tablet more work-friendly

I have been using Microsoft Word for over 15 years now and it is still my preferred software whenever I have to write something serious. In fact, I am pretty sure that I think better, clearer, when I am facing the familiar interface of a Word file. But over the past couple of years I have also developed an affinity for the iPad and it has become my primary mobile computing device. I no longer take a notepad or even pen for interviews or press conferences and prefer taking notes on the iPad? However, this means a sacrifice of sorts as I have to use the very basic Notes app on this Apple tablet. Of late, I have discovered an app called SoundNote that records audio as I type. The good thing with this app is that you don’t need to type much, as the app is recording whatever is being said in the background. But the lack of a good writing app has prevented me from trying long format writing on the iPad. Now, you know why I am excited with Microsoft Office coming to Ipad.
